TOP 10 RANKINGS

These results were gathered mainly using Athletics Canada, Trackie, and the Athletics Manitoba records, as well as consulting some of our more veteran AM members.

These lists may not be 100% accurate, and we know that. Unfortunately, with much of our province’s athletic history outdating the internet and a mishap in our past where results were lost, it has made the gathering process extremely difficult and at some points nearly impossible. All of the results you see, have been verified with an official result/source (i.e., not just a close guess).

We have decided to combined the indoor and outdoor results within the same category for some events.  We did not create an indoor 200m and 400m meter category as these events aren’t run in the USport division where much of our current results reside.

With this in mind, if after reviewing the lists below you see a result that you believe is missing, please let us know! We will need proof of the result (i.e., physical result, newspaper clipping, etc.). We know that this makes the process much more difficult but needs to be in place to ensure the integrity of our publication. Please contact Michael at programs@athleticsmanitoba.com with proof of any outstanding results.

All Provincial rankings are on the Athletes Canada website.

The online rankings are intended to assist athletes and their coaches in keeping track of the results in the entire competitive season. Only those athletes that are current individual athlete members of Athletics Manitoba and therefore Athletics Canada will be included in the rankings.

Only performances from REGISTERED members of the current year will be accepted for Provincial & National rankings and/or Provincial & National records.  Furthermore, any performance that achieves or satisfies a National Team selection criteria or funding standard, while not a member will not be accepted.

There will be no retroactive acceptance of performances: athletes must hold a current valid full year competitive membership at the time of achieving the results they are submitting for rankings and/or records.

Athletics Canada and its branch members would like to encourage all athletes, but in particular those living outside the country or participating in NCAA programs, to have their membership updated by December 31st each year
