TEAM MANITOBA WINS CENTENNIAL CUP!! CONGRATULATIONS TEAM TOBA!!
The awarding of the Centennial Cup exemplifies the pan-Canadian sport development objective of the Canada Games. It is presented to the provincial or territorial team that shows the greatest improvement from one Summer Games to the next or from one Winter Games to the next. The Centennial Cup has been won by 10 different provinces and territories since being added in 1971.

Curtis Urniezius placed 8th in the Discus (42.03m) and Reed Rimke placed 9th (39.75m)
Wyatt Efford placed 5th in the Long Jump (6.84m) and Ryan Croy placed 8th (6.46m)
Tamara Paetsch tied for 7th in the High Jump (1.65m)
Kaleigh Hole placed 7th in the Heptathlon with a total of 4345 points, a seasonal best.
Matthew Therrien placed 7th in the Special O 200m (27.25) and Ryan Kneitz placed 8th (27.35)
Amy Andrushko placed 8th in the 800m A final (2:19.72) and Rebekah Sass placed 3rd in B final, 11th overall (2:16.77)
Sam Vincent placed 12th in the 800m (1:53.46) and Cody Mages placed 13th (1:53.49), both with seasonal bests.
Melissa Daly placed 12th in the Special O 200m (33.86)
Ben Allen placed 13th in the Men’s 200m (22.85) and Sarah Huebert placed 15th in the Women’s 200m (25.99)

GOLD MEDAL FOR JULIA ZRINYI in the 1500m in a time of 4:25.75.
SILVER MEDAL FOR ALHAJI MANSARAY in the high jump with a jump of 2.14m
BRONZE MEDAL FOR SAM VINCENT in the 1500m with a PB of 3:47.04
Men’s 4x100m relay placed 4th with a time of 41.51. Team members were Mike Akins, Ben Allen, Wilfred Samking & Levi Sader.
Oyinko Akinsola placed 5th in the High Jump with a PB of 2.05m and 8th in the TripleJump with another PB of 14.04m
Joy Becker placed 6th in the Triple Jump with a jump of 11.54m
Samantha Allegro placed 4th in the Pole Vault with a height of 3.60m
Women’s 4×100 relay placed 6th with a time of 48.52. Team members were Joy Becker, Sade Ogungbemi, Mallory Waters & Katie Staub
Curtis Urniezius finished 7th in the Shot Put (14.35m) and Ezra Hackie was 9th (13.68m)
Ryan Croy finished 8th in the 400m hurdles (56.59) and Terrence was 14th (58.21).

Matthew Therrien finished 8th in the Special Olympic 100m (13.59) and Ryan Kneitz finished 9th overall with a time of 13.47 in the B final
Reed Rimke finished 8th in the Hammer (45.10m) and Curtis Urniezius finished 9th (43.42m)
Madison Stewart finished 8th in the Women’s Hammer (43.67m) and Alexa Matwyczuk finished 12th (37.59m)
Wilfred Samking won the 100m B Final (11.01) which placed him 9th overall, and Ben Allen was 15th overall (11.44)
Carter Wilson placed 10th in the Men’s Javelin (48.33m)
Matthew Fitkowsky finished 11th in the men’s 400m (49.33) and Sara Huebert finished 13th in the Women’s 400m (57.87).
Melissa Daly placed 12th in the Special Olympic 100m (16.51) and Courtney Cook was 14th (17.27)
Katie Staub placed 13th in the 100m (12.89) and Sade Ogungbemi placed 14th (12.90)
Kaleigh Hole is currently sitting in 7th place after Day 1 of the Heptathlon with 2682 points.

Day 2 results
SILVER MEDAL FOR ERIN TESCHUK in the 2000m steeplechase! (The winner and Erin both broke the Canada Games record in the event). Also a new provincial record and PB!! Erin’s time was 6:45.40.
Sam Unrau place 5th in the Para-Shot Put with a distance of 7.31m
Wyatt Eyford finished 5th in the Decathlon with a total of 6119 pts.
Ben Allen ran 22.65 in the 200m and advances to the B final. Levi Sader ran 22.81, and does not advance.
Sarah Huebert ran 25.86 in the 200m (PB) and advances to the B final. Mallory Waters ran 26.53, and does not advance.
Both Matthew Therrien (27.27) and Ryan Kneitz (27.65) advance to the A final of the Special Olympic 200m
Cody Mages (1:54.55) and Sam Vincent (1:53.25) both advance to the B final in the 800m
Amy Andrushko (2:12.99) advances to the 800m A Final and Rebekah Sass (2:18.07) advances to the B final.
Ryan Croy and Wyatt Eyford both qualified for the final in the Long Jump.
Curtis Urniezius and Ezra Hackie both qualified for the final in the Shot Put.
Both Men’s and Women’s 4x400m relay teams advance to the A Final.
Joy Becker jumped 5.63m in the Long Jump and advances to the Final.

Wilfred Samking ran 10.99 and Ben Allen ran 11.20 to advance to the B final in the Men’s 100m.
Sade Ogungbemi ran 12.78 and Katie Staub ran 12.91 to advance to the B final in the Women’s 100m.
Matt Therrier ran 13.36 to advance to the A final of the Special O 100m and Ryan Kneitz ran 13.53 to advance to the B final.
Melissa Daly and Courtney Cook advance to the B final of the Women’s Special O 100m with times of 16.24 and 16.86 respectively.
Matthew Fitkowsky advances to the B final of the Men’s 400m with a time of 49.35. Dylan Ostberg ran 50.43 and does not advance.
Sarah Huebert advances to the B final of the Women’s 400m with a personal best time of 57.61.
Sam Vincent won his heat with a time of 4:00.94 to advance to the final of the Men’s 1500m. Eric Thacher ran 4:02.64 and does not advance.
Julia Zrinyi won her heat with a time of 4:28.32 to advance to the Final of the Women’s 1500m. Rebekah Sass ran 4:48.65 and does not advance.
Ryan Croy advances to the A final in the Men’s 400m hurdles with a time of 56.73 and Terrence Sampson advances to the B final with a time of 58.01.
Melissa Kitching advances to the B final in the Women’s 400m hurdles with a time of 1:05.06.
Both Men and Women’s 4x100m relay teams advance to the A final. Men ran 41.63 and the women ran 47.62.
Oyinko Akinola jumped 13.26m in the Men’s triple jump to qualify for the final and Joy Becker jumped 11.30m to also qualify in the Women’s triple jump.
Curtis Urniezius threw 44.85m and Reed Rimke threw 38.72m to advance to the final in the Men’s Discus.
