Road Race

10km Provincial Championship (Timex #9) & 5km Fun Run/Walk, 2km Walk Athletics Manitoba in partnership with the Concordia Foundation is pleased to host the Empower Run on Sunday, September 16 at Kildonan Park. This year’s race is in support of Concordia’s Community Clinic Project. Whether you want to walk or run the 5kmlooped course in the park or challenge yourself to the 10km race along Scotia Ave., each step counts towards better health (both personally and as a larger community).      

The Oasis Zoo Run will serve as Athletics Canada's 2012 Canadian 10km Road Race Championship.  The event will also see the staging of the Finale for the Timex National Road Race Series.  The Canadian Championship race is open to all Athletics Canada members.  To register click logo. Athletes registering to compete at the 2012 Oasis Zoo Run 10k are eligible to contest for the Canadian Championship title in their respective division, if they are a Canadian Citizen (Only Canadian Citizens are eligible to be declared Canadian Champions), and are an Athletics Canada member through their provincial branch.

10km Certified Run and 2km/4km Fun Run/Walk Ted Swain was a passionate English teacher and runner. His enthusiasm for both influenced thousands of students and hundreds of runners over the years. In Ted's memory we have established Ted's Run for Literacy. Proceeds generate will be donated to Start2Finish (formerly KidsFest), a charitable organization that promotes reading and physical activity right here in Winnipeg schools.

  Celebrate fall with MEC Winnipeg Fall Classic 5k/10k Race in Assiniboine Park!   A $15 registration fee gets you a marked and measured course, timed results and fun times at the finish. All race participants are invited to a 10% off shopping night at the Winnipeg MEC on Thursday, November 1st from 7pm-9pm. Custom medals go to top three female and male finishers in each age category. Date: Sunday, October 28th Check-in starts at 8:00am at the Duck Pond, Assiniboine Park Time: 9:00 AM for 10k         9:15 AM for 5k Registration closes Tuesday, October 23 at 10pm Race Package/Bib pick-up at MEC Winnipeg: Friday, October  26, 10am – 8pm Saturday, October 27, 10am – 5pm
