Five Manitoba provincial Age Class records were broken at the Manitoba Age Class Championship.
Congratulations goes to:
Jennie Baragar-Petrash – Winnipeg Optimist Athletics, who broke the Midget Women’s 1200m record with a time of 3:43.44.
The previous record of 3:45.11 was held by Tarina Ready.
James Kenny – Winnipeg Optimist Athletics, who broke the Midget Men’s pole vault record with a vault of 3.41m.
The previous record of 3.40m was held by Vitaliy Bilenko.
Deondra Howard – from Thompson, who broke the Youth Women’s 3kg Shot Put record with a toss of 11.32m.
Deondra set the previous record last year with a toss of 10.70m.
Robyn Wear – Winnipeg Optimist Athletics, who broke the Youth Women’s Hepathlon record with a point total of 4785.
Robyn set the previous record of 4583 in May this year. Her point total now ranks her 2nd in Canada in this event.
Erin Teschuk – Winnipeg Optimist Athletics, who broke the Junior Women’s 2000m Steeplechase record with a time 7:13.88.
The previous record of 7:19.61 was held by Alex Bell.
