Tri-Province 2018 Day 1 Recap

An exciting first day for the Midget and Youth teams at Tri-Province. Both teams came out soaring with 14 medals, a meet record, and a collection of personal bests.

Jesse Bulawka-Lepine 1st in Javelin with a throw of 52.34m (meet record) & new MB provincial record
Ayva Khan 2nd in Discus with a throw of 26.08m
Paul Buenafe 2nd in Long jump with a jump of 5.74m
Matt Indome 3rd in Long jump
Daxx Turner 3rd in Javelin with a throw of 43.95m
Kira Kirzinger-Kosolofski 3rd in Long jump with a jump of 5.33m
Marina Gross 3rd in the 2000m with a time of 6:54.33
4x100m Midget Girls team 2nd place – 48.98 (MB provincial record) (Deborah Adekayode, Mikayla Dalkie, Brooke Sumka, Jorja Hoad)

4x100m Youth Boys team 3rd place – 43.09  (MB provincial record) (Mathieu Indome, Taine Middleton, Trae Tomlinson, Graham Hutchison-Campbell)

4x100m Youth Girls team 3rd place – 49.88 (Umuhawa Senesie, Rofiat Agboola, Peighton Johnson, Maxine Sanders)

Medley Midget Girls team 3rd place – 4:13.13 (Mikayla Dalkie, Arriana Lawrence, Jorja Hoad, Katrina Stefaniuk)
Medley Midget Boys team 1st place – 3:49.75 (Ryden Dizon, Levi Ward, Tyson Chambers, Haydn Lysiuk)
4x400m Youth Girls team 2nd place – 4:00.00 (Peighton Johnson, Ilona Zrinyi, Margrett Watt, Tracy Towns)
4x400m Youth Boys team 2nd place – 3:27.57 (Tanner Mann, Garen Nault, Trey Friesen, Ben Perret)
