Congratulations to the following athletes that broke Manitoba Provincial records and Boeing meet records at the Boeing Indoor Classic this past weekend. Some great performances were turned in by numerous athletes that saw 8 new Manitoba provincial records set and one tied, as well as 13 new meet records and one tied.
Provincial Age Class Records
Victoria Tachinski – Henry G. Izatt broke the Midget Women’s 300m record with a time of 40.45
Jennie Baragar-Petrash – Winnipeg Optimist broke the Midget Women’s 1200m and 2000m records wiith times of 3:43.61 and 6:44.02
Eric Guy – Winnipeg Optimist broke the Junior Men’s 60m hurdle record with a time of 8.14 in the preliminaries
Vitaliy Bilenko – Winnipeg Optimist broke the Junior Men’s Pole Vault record with a jump of 4.50m
Curtis Urniezius – Chinook Track broke the Junior Men’s Weight Throw record once again with a throw of 20.02m. Curtis had just set that record a couple of weeks earlier with a throw of 19.01m
Emily Rekrut-Pressey – Kelvin – tied the Midget Women’s 60m hurdles record with a time of 9.61
Stride Ahead Youth Men’s 4x400m relay set a new Provincial record with a time of 3:35.21. The previous record was set in 1979.

Winnipeg Optimist Junior Men’s 4x100m relay set a new Provincial record and tied the meet record with a time of 44.00.

Baker Aspen – Winnipeg Optimist broke the PeeWee Women’s Long Jump record with a jump of 3.90m
Joely Welburn – Excel Athletica broke the Midget Women’s Triple Jump record with a jump of 10.62m
Robyn Wear – Winnipeg Optimist broke the Youth Women’s Long Jump record with a jump of 5.49m
Brooke Shatkowski – Excel Athletica broke the Youth Women’s Weight Throw record with a throw of 11.50m
Alex Eiswerth – Excel Athletica broke the Junior Men’s 800m record with a time of 1:54.24
Nicole Sifuentes – Saucony Track Club broke the Senior Women’s 800m record with at time of 2:06.49
Winnipeg Optimist Bantam Men’s 4x200m Relay set a new meet record with a time of 1:54.74
