Results from Canadian Championships & Olympic Trials


Congratulations to Vicky Dressler on her 2nd place finish in the pole vault.  Vicky jumped 4.30m which breaks her previous Manitoba record of 4.20m.  Great job Vicky.


Nicole Sifuentes placed 3rd in the 1500m final with a time of 4:14.06 to qualify for the Olympics

Jared MacLeod placed 4th in the 110m  hurdles with a time of 14.19

Karen Ferris placed 7th in the Discus with a throw of 40.08m

Alastair Brown placed 11th in the 1500m final with a time of 3:56.43.

Eric Furletti unfortunately didn’t make the opening height of 4.70m in Pole Vault.

Michele Stilwell was 1st in the 200m Wheelchair T52

Colin Mathieson was 2nd in the 200m Wheelchair T54

On Thursday,  Nicole Sifuentes advanced from the 1500m semi-final and will run in the final on Friday, as did Alastair Brown in the men’s 1500m.

Eric Furletti vaulted 4.25m in the pole vault qualifying event on Wednesday, and will vault in the final on Friday.

Paul Rydberg started his decathlon with a great 100m time of 11.24 for 808 pts and jumped 6.48m for 693 pts in the long jump.
