Congratulations to all University of Manitoba Bison`s distance athletes who traveled and competed in their annual Southern Ontario series!
Six men of the the Bison’s distance team traveled to three meets in southern Ontario, competing in Guelph at the Speed River Inferno, Hamilton at the 800m Night, and London at the 1500m Night.
There were several strong performances and personal/season bests from all six athletes, and the trip was highlighted by Simon Berube who ran a personal best time of 3:52.20 in the 1500m, beating his father Claude Berube`s former personal best time.

Congratulations to all University of Manitoba Bison Jumpers and Sprinters who traveled to Calgary for the CALTAF Track Classic for their strong performances this weekend! Special congratulations to Tegan Turner who won the 100m and 200m in blazing fast times of 11.79 (PB) and 24.59 respectively. Her qualifying mark in the semis was even faster in 23.89 (PB)!
There were several strong performances from the Bison male sprinters who competed this weekend. Stephan Hreno led the charge for the men in the 100m with a time of 10.84, placing fourth overall, followed by Sebastian Regnier in a time of 11.00 for sixth. In the 200m, Luc Deleau placed fifth in a time of 22.15 followed by Sebastien Regnier in a time of 22.25.
Wilfred Samking won the Long Jump with a jump of 7.34m and Victoria Tachinski won the 800m in a time of 2:11.60.
