A Special Presentation Series by Dr Melanie Gregg
Athletics Manitoba is pleased to announce that we are hosting a series of presentations over the next few months to support our Canada Summer Games (CSG) Prep Squad athletes.
This year has been tough on all of us for many reasons, and we want to provide the opportunity for some mental skills training that will help our athletes move forward this fall, and start the season on a strong and positive note.
Each presentation will focus on a specific topic, a set of skills and will be comprised of three different sections.
- Preliminary Presentation
- Worksheet/Assignment
- Small group follow ups
Each presentation will be conducted via Zoom. They will be kept short, with the opportunity for questions and discussion at the end. Then, you will be provided with a worksheet, and some small assignments to complete on your own over the course of a few weeks. The final component for each topic will be the small group follow ups. These smaller group sessions will give you the opportunity to ask additional questions, talk through scenarios or examples specific to you and/or your event group.
The intent is that there will be 5 different presentations with each one building off of the content provided in the previous session.
There will also be some additional special guest presenters and other experts brought in to work with Dr Gregg and our coaching staff throughout the series.
