Athletics Manitoba sanctioned training activities may continue, provided they follow the restrictions laid out by the current Provincial Health Orders.
We kindly request that all members review the following updated Orders as they pertain to sport and recreation activities.
13(3) Persons may engage in any type of outdoor sporting or recreational activity but they must not engage in an activity as part of a group of more than 5 persons.
13(4) No organized team games are permitted at an outdoor sporting facility.
13(5) All persons engaged in an outdoor sporting or recreational activity must maintain a separation of at least two metres from other participants.
13(6) No spectators are permitted at an outdoor sporting facility.
This means that any and all, Athletics Manitoba member activities may proceed in GROUPS OF NO MORE THAN 5.
NOTE: That all participants MUST maintain 2m distance at ALL TIMES.
A reminder, that unfortunately all University of Manitoba campus Sport and Rec facilities are closed (including the outdoor track) and will remain closed until restrictions allow them to re-open.
Clubs, coaches and administrators are reminded of the importance of screening all participants prior to ANY training session.
Athletes and parents are asked to review the following Screening Questionnaire DAILY before attending any training session.

Finally, we would like to recognize the frustration and challenges that you, our members, are facing. We encourage clubs and training groups to remain active at alternative training locations and help support each other through this time. That being said, we must ensure that all groups modify their operations and continue to emphasize the SAFETY our members. If everyone continues to follow the protocols in place, we should have no issue offering safe and accessible training opportunities throughout this challenging time.
The current Health Orders will be in place at least until May 30th.
