CANADA FIRST – Canadian University Guide for Athletics

Athletics Canada has relesed it’s information guide for coaches, parents and university bound student-athletes. Entitled CANADA FIRST, it is a comprehensive guide on CANADIAN UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS. New Provincial Records Set

Congratulations to the Winnipeg Optimist Midget Women’s Relay Team that set a new provincial record in the 4x400m on the weekend.  Katie Takatch, Katie Lavallee, Erin Teschuk, and Michelle Hebert made up the team.  Their time was 4:07.95, which broke the previous record of 4:24.09 which was set in 2006. Results from Canadian Juniors

Congratulations to Alyssa Johnson and Danielle O’Donnell on their performances at Canadian Juniors. Alyssa won the 400m in a time of 56.03 and Danielle was 3rd in the Heptathlon with a point total of 4449. Congratulations to Dennis Lang

Dennis Lang recently competed in the USATF Masters Championships held in Oshkosh WI from  July 9-12th and finished  3rd in the M55 – 1500m in a time of 4:41.16 and 2nd in the M55 – 5000m in a time of 17:50.98.  Well done Dennis!!
